Track Record Shootout & Midsummer Dirt Drags

A two-day event full of high-speed drag racing at Northern Power Race Park in Mancelona, MI! We will have food vendors at the park the entire weekend and have some other fun things in the works! This will be a fun-filled weekend for everyone!

Camping is available on Friday and Saturday nights. Camping is the same cost as gate fees for each person and will act as your admission to both days.

TRACK RECORD SHOOTOUT - FRIDAY 6/21/2024

Compete to earn your spot on the NEW track record pole at the Northern Power Race Park drag strip.

The fastest pass of the day will win the Track Record Payout!

No registration fees. * You MUST be registered for the Midsummer Dirt Drags and pay gate admission to participate.*  

Schedule: 

Gates open at 2 pm. 

Driver Check-In 3 - 4 pm. 

Drivers meeting at 4:30 pm. 

The competition starts at 5 pm.

Registration 8 - 11 am. 

Drives meeting 11:30 am. 

Racing starts at noon.

We are looking for class sponsors to increase the purse for each class! If you or someone you know is interested please email rene@northernpowerracepark.com.

Rules: Power Sports: 4-wheelers, bikes, 3-wheelers, side-by-sides. Run what you brung.

Daily Driver: 100% factory vehicle and street legal - no gutting of any kind. No power adders unless it's from the factory - this includes heaters. Full glass. DOT street tires - no cuts. MUST be driven to the event, no trailering.

Pro Stock: Full factory frame from axel to axel. Factory suspension - no race suspension. Any motor combination is allowed. No power adders. DOT tires only - no cuts, paddles, or tractor tires. No chains, screws or spikes of any kind in tires.

Modified: Factory frame from axel to axel. Any suspension and any motor combination is allowed. No power adders. DOT tires - cuts allowed. No paddles or tractor tires. No chains, screws or spikes of any kind in tires.

Anytire: Any chassis, any suspension and any motor combination allowed. No power adders. No chains, screws or spikes of any kind in tires.

Outlaw Street: Vehicle must be street legal with working headlights and taillights, full windshield, and up-to-date tags and insurance. Any power adders - must be street-legal. DOT tires - cut tires and paddle tires are ok. No chains, screws, or spikes of any kind in tires.

Outlaw Door: Any motor, all power adders are welcome, cut and paddle tires are allowed. Must have doors or provisions for doors. The driver cannot sit in the middle of the vehicle. The driver must wear a fire jacket.

Open: CUT tires. Anything goes. No chains, screws or spikes of any kind in tires. No dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, 3-wheelers, or side-by-sides.

Track Information: 300' race track with 1000' shutdown. Pro Tree timing system

Rules: All vehicles will be checked for safety. If track officials deem them unsafe, they will not be allowed to participate. Everyone racing must have a helmet.
